Villanova offers a wide variety of clubs that reflect the diverse interests of the students. Artists, musicians, volunteers, scholars, scientists and more. All our students have the opportunity to become involved in the school community through participation in clubs. Clubs are student-run with the assistance of faculty moderators.
Villanova clubs range from being focused on large-scale service projects and community outreach to simply providing ways for students to spend time in leisure and fun with friends who have similar interests. At the beginning of each year, we offer a Club Fair for new students to learn about and sign up for clubs that interest them. The Club Fair is also where a student can introduce a new club to their fellow classmates. Students are highly encouraged to create new programming and to introduce new clubs to the community.
Three of the longest-running "signature" clubs at Villanova are: Clare Boothe Luce, Hogar Infantil, and Student Ambassadors.
The Clare Boothe Luce Club at Villanova Prep continues the legacy of Ms. Clare Boothe Luce, supporting and encouraging young women in STEM-related fields. It reflects the school's commitment to empowering future female scientists and engineers. Villanova is the only high school in the US to have a large endowment from Ms. Boothe Luce and our students benefit through a variety of amazing field trips, guest speakers, and research opportunities.
For decades, Villanova students have supported an orphanage outside of Tijuana, Mexico, called Hogar Infantil. This club fundraises throughout the year with a variety of fun activities including a Casino Night! Students use funds to support the children who live at the orphanage and also send letters and gifts. The club also plans a memorable visit the orphanage in the spring!
Villanova's largest club, the Student Ambassadors are the school's "cheering section", constantly sharing their love for Villanova with others. Student Ambassadors host visiting students, provide campus tours, and run various outreach activities throughout the school year. The first Wildcat a new student will meet is almost always a Student Ambassador; sharing their passion for all the traditions, courses, teachers, and coaches that make the school special.
We encourage each student to join multiple clubs to make the most of their Villanova experience, creating fun memories and building character. We highly encourage students to create new clubs. Regardless of their unique interests, students are sure to find a club (or clubs!) they love!
