모든 학생을 위한 매력적이고 개별화된 학업 지원은 학교로서의 학문적 성공에 대한 Villanova의 명성을 쌓아왔습니다.우리 학생들은 최선을 다해 지도받고 지원을 받습니다.레지던트 학생들의 교실 안과 밖에서 학업 진도를 감독하기 위해 자격을 갖춘 교사들이 일요일~목요일 오후 3시부터 9시까지 이용할 수 있습니다.매일 교직원 근무 시간과 야간 스터디 홀을 이용할 수 있어 레지던트 학생들은 추가적인 도움을 받을 수 있는 충분한 기회를 얻을 수 있습니다.상주 교수진은 학습 감독을 제공하고 개인 교습을 지원하며 레지던트 학생들에게 강한 학습 습관을 장려합니다.또한 학생들의 성적을 추적하고 교사 및 상담 교직원과 의견을 교환하여 어려움을 겪고 있는 학생들이 학업 성취도를 높일 수 있도록 계획을 세웁니다.학교에서 Plus Portals에서 정기적으로 제공하는 정보 외에 학업 진도에 대해 문의하고자 하는 학부모는 기숙사 학업 코디네이터를 이용할 수 있습니다.
Prior to admission, international students are evaluated using an English proficiency test such as the TOEFL iBT or Duolingo and their academic history to determine their proficiency level in English. In order to meet individual needs and promote successful outcomes, student progress is carefully monitored by the EIS Program Coordinator. Students are evaluated continuously to ensure progress and may be "exited" from the EIS Program when they meet a variety of criteria* to determine their English proficiency. With a long history of educating international students, Villanova makes English language learning a top priority. Additional support is in place for EIS students, including a Resident Life Academic Support Coordinator, English Immersion with Support Coordinator, four full-time resident staff, and teacher-led study halls with additional tutors available.
*The criteria for exiting the EIS Program are: A score of 550 or higher on the Villanova institutional TOEFL, a score of 5 on the Villanova-administered TWE, above-average grades in all academic subjects, evidence of effective use of spoken English, and approval of the ESL Coordinator and the Assistant Headmaster for Academics.
