October 17, 2024 - Peter Shen`14, "From International Student to Global Business Strategies"

Peter Shen is currently a Strategy and Operations Manager at TikTok, responsible for shaping the strategic roadmaps and operational processes of TikTok's global account businesses in the US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. After graduating from Villanova in 2014 as an international student, Peter attended UC Berkeley from 2014-17, majoring in Economics and Statistics. He left Berkeley to begin his career as a management consultant in Silicon Valley, focusing on digital transformation for global companies. After consulting, he joined TikTok by leveraging his experience working in multicultural environments. Peter began his TikTok journey in Beijing, China 3 years ago, then started to travel around the world a year and a half ago to help with the strategy formation of TikTok's advertising business in different industries and countries.

In his free time, Peter dedicated himself to be an ambassador of US-China culture exchanges. He served as a part-time journalist for Tencent Sport to cover the San Francisco 49ers while living in the Bay Area and started a sports club focusing on flag football and ultimate frisbee during his stay in Beijing.

Peter recently moved to New York City and lives with his fiancée Xy.
