I was born in Camarillo, California in 1991 and graduated from VPS in 2009. While at VPS I swam and played water polo all 4 years and was the team captain for both my senior year. I was also the scholar athlete for the class of 2009.

I attended the Virginia Military Institute and graduated in 2013. After graduation I was commissioned as an Armor officer in the US Army and graduated from the US Army Armor school in 2015. I was a platoon leader in A Co, 1-89 CAV, 2BCT 10th Mountain Infantry Division out of Fort Drum New York. After that I commanded C company, 1-16 CAV at Fort Benning Georgia where I ran the Army reconnaissance course and Abrams master gunner school.
